Welcome to Matsumari
Matsumari, a humble atelier hidden within a shrine, is a small business dedicated to creating multi-fandom merch based on anime & nerd culture.This small business originally debuted back in 2017 under the brand name, Rikadae, where we began our journey as an artist in the anime/gaming convention scene. Originally used to showcase our passion for anime and video games, over the years we eventually gained the confidence to start discovering our own brand identity.In 2025, we rebranded under the name: Matsumari to focus on incorporating on the concept of celebrating new beginnings like a yearly festival (hence the name)Matsumari will continue to focus on sharing our love for anime and gaming culture, while also including: original designs that will feature Matsumari's brand mascot, Himari, our favorite fandoms, and more!

The owner and founder of Matsumari, Rika-san. is a 2D digital illustrator & product designer based in California. She graduated from university with a Bachelor's degree in Studio Arts (concentration in digital media & video game design) and has been doing events since 2017. Her goal as an artist is to mix cute things with geeky/nerdy culture that everyone can enjoy
Tsuruoka Himari is a shapeshifting tanuki vtuber and the face of Matsumari. With an awkward personality to match her bratty attitude, Himari loves to connect with others through video games and anime. By day, she entertains humans back at her shrine, and at night she works at the atelier
